Job Role (Remote Job Based in California)

As our new Senior Backend Developer specializing in Node.js, you’ll become a key member of our dynamic development team. Your role will involve developing scalable backend services and APIs, optimizing application performance, and integrating user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic. You will also play a crucial role in architecture design, code review, and driving continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies into the design.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on Node.js.
  • Proven expertise in building and maintaining robust APIs for web applications.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and understanding of asynchronous programming, its quirks, and workarounds.
  • Familiarity with Node.js frameworks (e.g., NestJS, Express, Fastify).
  • Experience with data modeling and database technologies such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think algorithmically.
  • Experience with user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
  • Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
  • Ability to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests.
  • Proficient understanding of OWASP security principles.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Familiarity with TypeScript.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Understanding of “containerization” technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Previous work with CI/CD pipelines.Contributions to open-source projects.
