Job Description Summary

GE Aerospace is offering the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and applications, specializing in aircraft engine design and analysis, in a technology base. Turkey Technology Center (TTC) in Kartal/Istanbul is one of GE Aerospace’s nine engineering centers throughout the world with nearly 400 engineers working on aviation-related R&D and innovation projects that expand with new investments. Design Engineer will be a part of TTC engineering team participating in responsibilities described below.

Responsibilities:

With the guidance of experienced engineers, conduct mechanical hardware design tasks for assigned projects such as new part design, field issues or manufacturability improvement.
Conduct engineering assessments in at least one of those topics: 3D modelling, FEA, fatigue life or basic stress hand calculations.
Participate in project planning and tracking for engineering projects and/or hardware procurement.
Document technical data generated for the assigned projects consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Qualifications/Requirements:

Having a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Mechanical, Aeronautical or Metallurgical Engineering Departments of Universities (post graduate degree is a plus).
Health Board Report which indicates the one is at least 40% disabled.
Capability of using MS Office Skills.
Familiarity with basic mechanical design concepts, mechanics of materials and design hand calculations.
Upper-intermediate or above level proficiency in English.
Unexperienced or 1+ year experience (intership, co-op etc. is plus)
